Announcing An NRA Rifle Instructor And Range Safety Officer Training Course- August 7-9, 2009.

All Boy Scout and Venturing rifle shooting activities must be supervised by a currently NRA-certified Instructor.  This course completes all requirements for both NRA Rifle Instructor and NRA Range Safety Officer training.  The training includes both classroom and range time. The course is limited to 20 participants only.

There is a lot of new, well-developed online training now available on the BSA Online Learning Center portal.

To enter you will be required to register. If you enter your BSA ID# and the Council # (564) the site will maintain a record of what you've started and completed.  This is handy for retreiving and printing a Youth Protection Training certificate necessary to attend any of the the Council Scout camps this summer, whether it's Capitol Area or another Texas Council.
